BIOGRAPHY
Fresh off the boat from Ireland at 18 years old, Joan explored a variety of jobs, including a brief stint as a cloakroom attendant at Wandsworth Town Hall. Eager to find a career that could equal that excitement factor, she turned to theatre, where she carelessly misplaced 8 years of her life. Having woken up, she faced the fact that she was put on this world to make music, so now she does. Here's what people think...
"The little lady with the big voice has been stunning audiences
with her phenomenal live sets. Her conversational style, with echoes of Christy
Moore, makes everyone who hears her feel an immediate personal connection. Her
stories of love, life and libraries in Penge are in turns emotionally brutal
and unbearably funny. "

to the patronising."
Mean Fiddler Radio
"... she looms over the crowd like an emotional giant. The
sheer charm and honesty of her performance have a lasting
effect."
The Irish Post
"Quite simply, beautiful"

"Really should be singing with the Hothouse Flowers."
Suzy Bogguss
Joan now writes, plays, sings and produces her own music. Her greatest regret is her inability to whistle.
